Project context
Join a large-scale construction project within an operating thermal power plant located in Réunion Island. This project involves the construction of a 42 MWth LHV SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel) boiler, with steam to be injected into the existing turbines.
The project team is spread across two main sites:
- Head office in mainland France
- Operating site in the Overseas Departments and Regions (DROM)
The subcontractors involved in the project are French and European, with manufacturing sites mainly in Europe. The project is structured around several technical packages, including boiler, civil engineering, flue gas treatment, fire protection, and auxiliary equipment.
Missions
Integrated into the on-site Delegated Project Management team, under the supervision of the Site Manager, you will be responsible for supervising mechanical assembly and piping work.
Work to be supervised:
- Assembly of the SRF boiler and its steam rack,
- Construction of an SRF storage building with a metal framework,
- Installation of the flue gas treatment systems,
- Assembly of overhead cranes and other auxiliary equipment.
Main activities:
- Coordination of work with suppliers and operators,
- Inspection of works, quality monitoring, management of non-conformities and punch lists,
- Coordination of work with suppliers and operators,
- Participation in daily and weekly coordination meetings,
- Analysis and updating of assembly schedules in collaboration with the OPC engineer,
- Integration of HSE aspects in all assembly phases,
- Management of transfers to testing and commissioning.
Expected deliverables:
- Quality monitoring documents and punch lists,
- Reporting and schedule updates,
- Handover files for testing.
Profil
Training and experience:
- Technical training with at least 10 years of experience in industrial processes (boilers, metal framework, high-temperature and high-pressure steam piping).
- Expertise in high-altitude work and complex industrial assembly.
Technical skills:
- Mastery of lifting plans, load calculations, hot work permits, and quality monitoring for assembly and welding.
- Reading and interpreting technical plans (P\&ID, PFD) with proficiency in AutoCAD.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE standards and best practices.
General skills:
Proficiency in computer tools (Office suite, Teams).
Leadership, rigueur et organisation.
Adaptability and excellent communication skills.
Fluent French, professional English to interact with international subcontractors.
