Context:

As part of strengthening quality requirements at an industrial manufacturing site, we are seeking a Product Quality Control Referent for a pre-hiring mission. After 6 months of contract work, you will join the teams directly on a permanent contract.

Your role will be to ensure consistency and continuity in Product Quality matters, oversee the handling of non-conformities, and provide your technical expertise to project and production teams.

Missions

Product Quality Management

  • Formalize and structure quality documentation (control plans, standard ITPs, control procedures, guidelines, etc.),
  • Standardize and improve control tools and methods to ensure consistent defect assessment,
  • Participate in the development of digital tools for traceability and control recording,
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and the reduction of the environmental footprint of manufacturing.

Quality Control Supervision

  • Ensure quality control of testing and manufacturing on site,
  • Manage defect classifications and the criticality of non-conformities,
  • Participate in manufacturing audits and project feedback (REX),
  • Provide technical support to project quality teams.

Management of traceability tools and methods

  • Develop and improve quality data management tools,
  • Ensure proper communication and evolution of control methods.

Profil

Training & Experience

  • Quality Engineer degree or equivalent,
  • Minimum 5 years of product quality experience in the metallurgy, Oil & Gas, or naval industry sectors,
  • Operational knowledge of welding (ideally also coating),

Technical skills

  • Writing quality plans / Inspection & Test Plans (ITP),
  • Proficiency in measurement equipment and quality standards in an industrial environment,
  • Experience in managing subcontractors and conducting manufacturing audits.

Soft skills

  • Autonomy, rigor, and methodology in analyzing quality issues,
  • Ability to propose and implement pragmatic solutions,
  • Good interpersonal skills, team spirit, and the ability to teach best practices,
  • Responsiveness and adaptability to production challenges.
